Fullstack Job: Fullstack-Developer (m-f-d) in Berlin

We are a climate tech start-up in Kreuzberg that uses technology to advance the vision of a zero-emissions economy.

To achieve this, our software automates the carbon footprint calculation of international corporations based on their data sources as precisely as possible. The aim is to get companies to act as efficiently and quickly as possible, and to show them how they can best reduce their emissions.

We’re still young, and ideas and developments are fast and changing, but we’re aiming for stable enterprise software while scaling up our existing customers.

To expand our team of 4 developers, we are looking for similarly open-minded people who are ready to take responsibility and make their contribution to this exciting growth phase known. TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, React, Webpack, Redux, PostgreSQL, GitHub, Docker, AWS (Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, API Gateway)

Tasks

A typical day looks like

• Collaborating across teams via SCRUM meetings to help define and progress business requirements to their technical implementation
• Giving and receiving feedback on code, technical plans, tickets, the team, or the company
• Implementing and writing APIs in NestJS, and implementing frontend components to utilize them in a performant way
• Improving the transparency of the codebase through descriptive tests, visual feedbacks, logs of decisions and clear commits

Requirements

You’ll fit in with us best when

• You recognise the challenges in integrating backend with frontend changes early, and know some techniques to help contribute to stable deploys
• You know from experience that using types/typed languages helps to increase quality and catch issues earlier
• You’re always keen to automate the testing of the codebase
• You’re at your best in the office with a whiteboard and teammates around you, and have a team-first mentality
• You want to contribute to, and learn in a supportive and flexible atmosphere

What we need

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in Fullstack development
• Berlin based, and permission to work here without relocation support
• Regular office communication – no-one is 100 % in the office, and we’re flexible between the weeks, but generally we’re ranging from 1-4 days/week

Optional things that impress us

• You have experience with a variety of Front- and Backend frameworks
• You’ve already worked with and maintained custom component libraries
• You have public projects using TypeScript
